Brian Crower describes BC0311 as a plug-and-play, all-purpose specification with short duration for good street manners and a slight lope at idle. The profile is intended to add breathing capacity without moving to the longer-duration, higher-lift Stage 3 and Stage 3+ combinations, making it well suited to performance street and street/strip 2JZ-GE VVT-i builds.

- This is a VVT-i-specific camshaft set and should not be treated as a substitute for Brian Crower’s non-VVT-i 2JZ camshaft profiles.
- Brian Crower states that OEM valve springs are acceptable with the BC0311 profile. The BC cam card separately lists BC0300 for applications up to 800 whp and BC0300HD or BC0310 for applications above 800 whp.
- Brian Crower specifies checking cam-gear bolt length against the installed cam gear thickness so the bolt does not bottom in the camshaft threads.
- Valve clearances should be checked and set during installation to the cam-card specification.
- Valve springs, retainers, cam gears, timing components, seals, gaskets, and installation hardware are not listed by Brian Crower as included with BC0311.
