Call sign: Chop Gun 911. Porsche 996/997.
525+ HP | Naturally Aspirated 6.2L | Includes Engine, ECU, Porsche CAN Integration, Wiring & Final Tune.
Late-stage development · Expected early Q4 2026 · Estimated starting price: $14,499
You hear Chop Gun before you see the car. In a 911, that hot-rod idle coming from behind the seats is part of the appeal. Roll into the throttle and the thick, immediate pull of a 6.2L LS follows through. It gives the Porsche unmistakable V8 character every time you start it, with the street manners to drive it as often as you like.
RAD builds this version of Chop Gun for the 996/997 installation. The fully blueprinted engine comes with Porsche-specific oiling, head fasteners, engine management, wiring, CAN integration, and a completed tune. Your installer gets a defined package to put in the car; you get to enjoy the sound and performance without turning the engine itself into another development project.

Hot-Rod Sound. Street-Car Manners.
Chop Gun brings a different kind of fun to the 911. It has a noticeable chop at idle and a broad surge of torque whenever you ask for it. Around town, the completed engine and tune keep the car easy to start, smooth to maneuver, and enjoyable at ordinary road speeds.
Cold start, warm-up, idle, part-throttle response, and wide-open-throttle fueling receive the same attention as full-power operation.
