PSI Hard - RAD 327 Turbo

Targeting 900+ HP | 750+ RWHP in a Street Car | Single-Turbo 327ci LS with ECU, Boost Control & Final Tune.

In development · Expected late Q4 2026 · Estimated starting price: $22,499

Roll into the throttle and the 327 Turbo gives you the kind of midrange shove that makes a heavy street car feel suddenly light. Stay in it and the pull keeps building. RAD is developing this engine for enormous speed and the startup, cruising, and throttle behavior that make you want to drive it between hard pulls.

At its center is a fully blueprinted, forged 327ci LS with a single turbo. The engine, turbo hardware, fueling, ECU, closed-loop boost control, protection strategies, and tune are specified as one combination. The wheel-horsepower goal is for a real street car with an air filter, catalytic converters, and mufflers in place.

  • Targeting comfortably over 900 advertised engine horsepower
  • Targeting 750+ rear-wheel horsepower in a complete street car
  • Iron-block 327ci LS with forged rotating assembly; aluminum block available as an option
  • Single turbo, turbo manifolds, wastegate, and supporting engine-side hardware
  • Flex-fuel capability
  • Full closed-loop boost control and configured engine-protection strategies
  • Includes ECU, engine harness, monitoring sensors, and completed RAD tune
  • Engine break-in and dyno testing before delivery

Big Power You’ll Want to Drive

The 327 Turbo is built around a strong midrange and a charge that carries through the upper part of the power curve. Boost response, part-throttle driving, and the transition into full power are part of the development work, alongside the peak number.

The included ECU uses closed-loop boost control to manage the requested boost level. Fuel and oil pressure, oil temperature, and other engine data feed the configured protection strategies. It is a substantial control package for an engine at this price, delivered with the hardware and tune it was developed to manage.

Fully Blueprinted 327ci LS

The standard engine uses an iron LS block. It is disassembled, cleaned, inspected, measured, and machined for the finished combination before assembly.

Engine Assembly

  • Iron-block 327ci LS engine
  • Forged crankshaft, pistons, and connecting rods
  • New main, rod, and cam bearings
  • Upgraded main and cylinder-head fasteners
  • Performance head gaskets
  • New oil pump, crank scraper, and windage tray
  • Performance harmonic damper and upgraded timing components
  • New gaskets, seals, and critical assembly hardware
  • Measured bearing, piston, ring, and valvetrain clearances

Cylinder Heads and Valvetrain

  • Performance aluminum cylinder heads with matched valves and springs
  • RAD-selected turbo camshaft
  • New hydraulic roller lifters and performance pushrods
  • Upgraded rocker-arm hardware
  • Valvetrain checked and assembled for the finished combination

Single-Turbo System and Fueling

  • Single turbocharger and turbine housing
  • Turbo exhaust manifolds and supporting engine-side hardware
  • Wastegate and blow-off valve
  • Performance intake manifold and drive-by-wire throttle body
  • Fuel rails and injectors sized for the engine’s power and fuel requirements
  • Flex-fuel sensor

ECU, Boost Control & Final RAD Tune

The 327 Turbo includes its standalone ECU, engine harness, and sensors for boost, fuel pressure, oil pressure, oil temperature, and other critical engine functions. The boost-control hardware includes the wastegate control solenoid and dome-pressure sensing needed for the closed-loop strategy.

RAD’s completed tune covers startup, idle, street driving, throttle response, flex-fuel operation, boost delivery, and full-throttle performance. Each engine will be broken in and dyno tested before delivery.

The supplied turbo hardware gives the installer a defined engine-side starting point. The oil pan and pickup, intercooler and charge piping, vehicle fuel supply, accessory drive, cooling, and vehicle-side exhaust are selected for the car and are outside the estimated starting package.

The goal is straightforward: a 327 with the power people come to see and the street manners that make you want to drive it there.
