MaxxECU SPORT Standalone ECU — Unit Only
Part Number: 1914
The MaxxECU SPORT is a universal standalone engine-management system for custom applications requiring up to six sequential fuel and ignition channels, electronic-throttle control, integrated wideband lambda, flex-fuel capability, variable-cam control, CAN communications, and supporting I/O for a well-equipped street or performance vehicle.
SPORT occupies the practical middle of the MaxxECU range. It provides drive-by-wire control, Bluetooth communication, peak-and-hold injector drivers, and more flexible I/O than the STREET ECU without requiring the additional channels and specialized inputs of the larger RACE and PRO systems. It is particularly well suited to four-, five-, and six-cylinder engines using sequential injection, individual ignition coils, electronic throttle, variable valve timing, boost control, and CAN-controlled transmission hardware.
This listing is for the MaxxECU SPORT control unit without the installation harness, wideband sensor, or package accessories. It is best suited to replacement installations, custom harness builders, or applications where the required MaxxECU wiring and accessories are already available.

Application Notes
• This listing is for the MaxxECU SPORT control unit only.
• The SPORT flying-lead wiring harness, Bosch LSU wideband sensor, and package accessories are not included.
• A compatible MaxxECU SPORT harness or connector and terminal set is required for installation.
• The SPORT ECU connector is not interchangeable with connectors used by other MaxxECU models.
• A compatible USB communication cable is required for direct connection to a Windows PC running MTune.
• Bluetooth operation requires the appropriate MaxxECU mobile antenna if one is not already available.
• The ECU supports Bosch LSU 4.2 and LSU 4.9 wideband sensors.
• The sensor, connector, wiring, and MTune configuration must match.
• Full sequential operation is limited to engines with six cylinders or fewer.
• Engines with more than six cylinders require a different fuel and ignition strategy or a higher-channel MaxxECU model.
• The ignition outputs do not directly drive conventional high-current ignition coils.
• Use coils with built-in igniters, a compatible external ignition module, or a CDI system.
• Electronic-throttle operation requires a compatible throttle body, accelerator-pedal assembly, correct wiring, proper channel allocation, and application-specific MTune setup.
• Direct transmission control is available for selected GM 4L60E, 4L65E, 4L80E, 4L85E and Toyota A340E, A341E, and A650E applications.
• CAN-controlled transmission support includes selected BMW DCT, VAG DSG, and Gen 1 ZF 8HP applications.
• Gen 1 ZF 8HP control requires the appropriate MaxxECU transmission harness, compatible shifter hardware, transmission configuration, and CAN setup.
• MaxxECU SPORT does not include onboard knock-sensor inputs or direct Type-K EGT inputs.
