MaxxECU RACE Connector 2 Flying-Lead Wiring Harness — E-Throttle, Knock and EGT
Part Number: 1787
The MaxxECU RACE Connector 2 harness provides access to the secondary input and output functions of the original MaxxECU RACE ECU. It supplements the primary Connector 1 engine harness with wiring for electronic-throttle control, dual knock sensors, eight direct EGT channels, additional analog and digital inputs, high-side outputs, and bidirectional motor outputs.
The ECU-side connector is pre-terminated, while the application side uses flying leads for custom routing and termination. Thin-wall automotive wire with printed circuit identification simplifies harness construction, diagnosis, and future service.
This harness does not replace the main RACE engine harness. It is added when the installation requires functions assigned to the ECU’s second connector.
Key Features
• Designed specifically for Connector 2 on the original MaxxECU RACE ECU
• Approximately 3-meter flying-lead construction on current REV2 harnesses
• Thin-wall automotive-grade wire
• Printed circuit identification along the individual conductors
• Pre-terminated MaxxECU RACE Connector 2 interface
• Provides electronic-throttle motor-control wiring
• Provides wiring for two knock-sensor inputs
• Provides wiring for eight direct EGT channels
• Includes eight miniature Type-K connectors for custom EGT termination
• Provides wiring for analog inputs AIN 5–8
• Provides wiring for digital inputs DIN 4 and DIN 5
• Provides wiring for 12 V high-side outputs GPO 15 and GPO 16
• Provides wiring for bidirectional motor outputs GPO 11–14
Application Notes
• This is the secondary harness for the original MaxxECU RACE ECU.
• It supplements the primary Connector 1 harness and is not a complete standalone engine harness.
• The primary 871 Connector 1 harness is required for the principal engine-management wiring.
• This harness is required to access the RACE ECU’s electronic-throttle motor outputs, knock inputs, direct EGT inputs, AIN 5–8, DIN 4–5, GPO 15–16, and GPO 11–14.
• Electronic-throttle operation requires a compatible throttle body, accelerator-pedal assembly, correct sensor wiring, appropriate channel allocation, and application-specific MTune setup.
• Knock sensors are not included.
• EGT probes are not included.
• Eight miniature Type-K connectors are included for termination of customer-supplied EGT probes.
• REV1 harnesses use approximately 3-meter conductors except for the pre-terminated EGT leads.
• Current REV2 harnesses use approximately 3-meter conductors throughout, including the EGT circuits, with the Type-K connectors supplied for custom termination.
• This harness is not the corresponding secondary harness for MaxxECU GEN2 TRACK or GEN2 RACE systems. Those ECUs use a different harness and connector arrangement.
• Confirm ECU model, hardware generation, pinout, and wiring revision before installation.
