Haltech uC-10 Digital Dash
Haltech uC-10 Digital Dash
Haltech uC-10 10-Inch Digital Dash
Part Number: HT-068000
The Haltech uC-10 is a wide-format 10-inch digital dash designed to display, organize, and log engine and vehicle data from a Haltech ECU, supported third-party engine-management system, OBD-II network, or directly connected sensors.
Connected to a NEXUS Rebel LS or another current Haltech ECU through the Haltech CAN network, the uC-10 replaces a conventional gauge cluster with a bright, optically bonded display, configurable screen layouts, programmable warnings, shift lights, onboard data logging, Wi-Fi connectivity, and extensive user-definable inputs and outputs.
Its 1280 × 480 display provides substantially more horizontal screen area than a conventional 7-inch dash, making it particularly well suited to custom instrument panels and complete factory-cluster replacements. The uC-10 also includes a composite-video input for an optional reverse camera and a dedicated alternator-excite circuit for applications in which removing the original gauge cluster would otherwise interrupt the charging-system circuit.

Application Notes
- The uC-10 connects directly to a compatible NEXUS or Elite ECU through the supplied DTM-4 Haltech CAN cable.
- In a typical Haltech installation, the DTM-4 CAN connection supplies switched power, ground, CAN High, and CAN Low to the dash.
- The connected ECU CAN channel must be configured for the Haltech CAN protocol. A dash connected to another CAN protocol may power up without receiving usable ECU data.
- When several Haltech CAN devices are installed, the uC-10 can connect through:
- An available port on a Haltech CAN hub
- An unused CAN port on a compatible WB1 or WB2 wideband controller
- Another correctly configured connection on the Haltech CAN network
- Current Haltech NEXUS and Elite ECUs can transmit engine and vehicle channels directly to the uC-10 without duplicating sensors at the dash.
- Compatible Haltech ECU inputs and outputs can be shared with the uC-10, allowing the dash to function as an additional I/O expander.
- Haltech currently specifies the following minimum firmware versions for dash I/O sharing:
- NEXUS ECU or VCU firmware 1.26.4 or later
- Elite ECU firmware 3.11.0 or later
- uC-10 firmware 2.26.3 or later
- I/O sharing is not supported with Haltech Platinum-series ECUs, although supported ECU data can still be displayed over CAN.
- Connecting the uC-10 to a Haltech Platinum ECU requires the HT-130040 DTM-4-to-8-pin Tyco CAN adapter, sold separately if not already supplied with the ECU.
- Direct OBD-II connection requires the optional HT-135003 OBD-II-to-DTM-4 CAN cable.
- The OBD-II adapter’s red power wire must be connected to switched ignition power because the vehicle’s OBD-II connector normally supplies constant battery voltage.
- Supported third-party ECU protocols include:
- Hondata
- Link G4 and selected G5 ECUs
- MaxxECU
- Microtech
- MoTeC M1-series ECUs
- MoTeC M400, M600, and M800 “Gold Box” ECUs
- Syvecs
- Third-party ECU installation requires the correct CAN adapter harness and supported ECU configuration. Adapter harnesses are sold separately.
- The uC-10 can also be installed as a standalone dash using directly wired sensors and vehicle signals.
- Standalone installation requires the installer to wire power, ground, sensors, switches, speed input, and other required vehicle circuits through the supplied 34-pin connector. Sensors and a complete standalone harness are not included.
- The 10 analog inputs can be used for fuel level, temperatures, pressures, position sensors, warning switches, lighting signals, and other compatible 0–5 V or resistance-based inputs.
- Sensor calibration must match the exact sensor or sender connected to the dash.
- The 4 synchronized pulsed inputs can be used with compatible wheel-speed, vehicle-speed, driveshaft-speed, flex-fuel, GPS-speed, frequency-based, or reluctor-sensor signals.
- The digital pulsed outputs switch to ground when active and are limited to 3 A each.
- Loads exceeding 3 A must be controlled through an appropriately rated relay or external power-control device.
- The dedicated alternator-excite circuit can replace the warning-lamp or resistor circuit normally contained within a factory instrument cluster.
- The supplied momentary switches can be configured for screen navigation, alarm cancellation, or next-and-previous screen selection.
- Up to 5 screen layouts can be stored in the dash, with a selectable startup screen or recall of the last-used screen.
- The 512 MB logging memory operates as looped storage. Older log data is overwritten as new data is recorded after the available memory is filled.
- Wi-Fi communication requires firmware version 2.27.0 or later. Initial Wi-Fi configuration is completed through USB.
- The reverse-camera input accepts composite video rather than modern digital-video formats. Camera compatibility should be confirmed before using a third-party camera.
- The uC-10 does not include a dash bezel, molded panel, pedestal, or steering-column mount.
- Compatible mounting options include:
- HT-060070 — iC-7/uC-10 standard dash mount
- HT-060091 — uC-10 molded panel mount
- The IP64 rating does not make the dash waterproof or submersible. The rear connector, wiring, and USB connection should be protected from standing water and concentrated heat.
