Haltech Elite 4-Port DTM-4 CAN Hub with 300 mm CAN Cable

Part Number: HT-159000

The Haltech Elite CAN Hub provides a clean connection point for adding multiple Haltech CAN devices to a compatible ECU or VCU.

One port connects the hub to the ECU’s Haltech CAN System connection, leaving 3 ports available for devices such as a WB1 or WB2 wideband controller, digital dash, NEXUS IO16, CAN keypad, tire-monitoring system, or other compatible Haltech CAN hardware.

The hub is a passive network splitter and requires no software configuration. It distributes the Haltech CAN connection through standard DTM-4 connectors, allowing multiple devices to be connected without splicing the CAN wiring or building a custom junction harness.

Key Features

  • 4-port Haltech CAN hub
  • Supports connection of up to 3 CAN devices from one ECU CAN connection
  • Standard Haltech DTM-4 CAN connectors
  • Compatible with Haltech Elite and NEXUS systems using the Haltech CAN protocol
  • Passive design requires no software setup or device configuration
  • Distributes:
    • Switched 12 V power
    • Ground
    • CAN High
    • CAN Low
  • Allows multiple Haltech CAN devices to share one ECU CAN port
  • Additional CAN hubs can be connected when more than 3 device ports are required
  • Includes a 12 in. (300 mm) DTM-4-to-DTM-4 CAN cable

Application Notes

  • One hub port connects to the compatible Haltech ECU, VCU, engine harness, or an existing Haltech CAN network connection.
  • The remaining 3 ports can be used for compatible Haltech CAN devices.
  • The ports are functionally common; the hub does not have a dedicated ECU-input port.
  • Typical connected devices include:
    • Haltech WB1 or WB2 CAN wideband controller
    • Haltech iC-7 or uC-10 digital dash
    • NEXUS IO16 input/output expander
    • Haltech CAN keypad
    • Haltech tire-monitoring system
    • Other supported Haltech CAN devices
  • Although the official product name retains the Elite designation, the hub can also be used with compatible NEXUS systems that use the same DTM-4 Haltech CAN connection.
  • The hub does not add ECU inputs or outputs and does not translate between different CAN protocols. It only provides additional physical connection points on the Haltech CAN network.
  • Each connected device must still be enabled and configured through the appropriate Haltech software when required.
  • More than one CAN hub can be connected when additional device ports are needed.
  • Connected devices with 2 CAN ports may also be daisy-chained without a hub. The hub is most useful when a branched network layout is cleaner or when a device has only one CAN connector.
  • Alternate DTM-4-to-DTM-4 CAN cable lengths are available separately for installations where the included 300 mm cable is too short.
  • The DTM-4 Haltech CAN connection carries switched power and ground in addition to CAN High and CAN Low.
  • The hub does not provide an independent power source. Available power for connected devices depends on the ECU or harness CAN supply and the electrical requirements of the attached devices.
  • High-current CAN accessories, including multiple wideband controllers, may require a separate fused and relayed power supply as specified in the device’s installation documentation.
  • The hub should be connected only to a CAN channel configured for the Haltech CAN System. A vehicle CAN or third-party CAN channel may use the same general type of communication but is not interchangeable without the correct protocol configuration.
